T is for The Two Man Gentlemen Band

THE TWO MAN GENTLEMEN BAND: is made up of banjo player Andy Bean and bassist Fuller Condon. They have a great, jazz, folk, americana type style, with witty lyrics. They have a fun party feeling to them, with light strumming, and drinks in hand type of attitude. Their shows have a reputation, of them dressing as characters and handing out kazoos to the audience. They have released 3 albums, the first is a self-titled one released in 2005, a good few in between and their latest coming out this year titled 'Two at a Time'.
One of my favourite songs is called 'I Like to Party With Girls'

T is also for TWO HOURS TRAFFIC: are a Canadian indie rock band, supposedly named after the prologue to Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. In 2005 they released their self titled album, and some others along the way, their latest being released in 2009 titled 'Territory', with another album planned for this year I think. Their songs seem to be popular as background songs to drama teen shows such as gossip girl and one tree hill..
One of the my favourites is called 'Sure Can Start'

Q is for Quasimode

QUASIMODE: are a Japanese jazz band, formed in 2002. They have released a few albums, their first being in 2006 titled 'oneself-LIKENESS' and their latest full album coming out in 2010 called 'Daybreak'. They have got a few smaller albums that have also been released up until last year. They have a typical jazz ensemble, and have some really nice chilled songs
One I like is called 'Whisky's High featuring AFRA

This was a one of the hardest letters for me, trying to pick a band that wasn't as well known to people. The easy one would have been Queen obviously. 
I also found a band called LE QUECUMBAR ALLSTARS. They are a group of artists that got together in the Le Quecumbar in London and recorded and album. It also has kind of a gypsy swing, jazz feel to the album. Unfortunately they don't have any video clips I can put up but if you search them on spotify, or visit their album page (if you are outside the UK) try listening to the preview clips and see what you think. :D

C is for Cats on Fire

I originally wanted to keep these daily bands to one per letter, however I have discovered that there are too many good ones that I want to share with you, so the number may vary for each letter.
So the first band is one that is more well known, Cats on Fire. They are a Finnish group, formed in 2001 with their first EP album out in 2003, they have continued making tracks up until their lastest one in 2010. 

My favourite song of theirs is Higher Grounds
I love their sounds, and the singer Mattias Björkashas seems so quirky or stage, and they seems to love performing their music. I wish I could see them in concert, as I listen to their songs a lot. They just put you in the mood for sunshine and a BBQ. 

The second artist is C.W Stoneking to keep within the banjo theme. He is an Autralian Blues musician. He has an amazing blend of blues, and jazz, and banjo, with a raspy brass section and soulful voice. This song Jungle Blues is one of my favourites. The link on the name is to the album version of the song. But here is the live one as well. He reminds me a little of Cab Calloway- another amazing artist, who I'm sure you've heard of. If not go and search his songs as well. Amazing!!
